A new meme is subtly snaking its way into the administration’s feeble attempts to promote the notion that the deaths of four members of the U.S. diplomatic corps in Benghazi last Sept. 11 were unavoidable — that the president was intimately involved during the storming of the U.S. consulate and that the White House response after the fact was wholly appropriate and apolitical.
With each passing day, the United Nations becomes more irrelevant to anyone outside the progressive movement and/or the Obama Administration. The latest example of the failure of this institution is the news that Iran will chair the United Nations’ most important disarmament negotiating forum during the panel’s May session, which opened today, sparking calls by an independent monitoring group for the U.S., the EU, and UN chief Ban Ki-moon to protest.
Is that a tear coursing down the face of President Barack Obama? Did no one tell the macho man president that big commanders-in-chief don’t cry?
The photo was taken during a Monday face-off against the White House press corps, which on Friday beat up on Obama’s spokesman Jay Carney. Obviously anticipating a similar reception, the Associated Press reports, a testy Obama “denied Republican criticism that his White House was trying to cover up information about the deadly assault in Benghazi, Libya last year.”
Woodwards and Bernsteins only go after Republicans; the Democratic Party has no Howard Bakers nor Joe Liebermans profiling courage; and the road to Hell paved by LBJ, Slick Willie and Barack Obama’s bad intentions would drown even a Watergate.
It wasn’t “just about sex” nor “Nixon’s War.”
In the wake of the documented cover up of Benghazi security lapses and admissions of politically targeted IRS inquiries by the Obama Administration, would it be too much to ask that the moral lapses of Democrats Lyndon, Bill, Hillary, and Barack finally be placed in an accurate historical context?

The mother of one of the four Americans killed by Islamic jihadists last September publicly wished the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in 2016 a barbed Happy Mother’s Day while appearing on Fox News Channel’s “Huckabee.”
The Washinton Examiner reports that Patricia Smith, mother of slain State Department official and U.S. Air Force veteran Sean Smith, choked back tears as she said, ”I want to wish Hillary a Happy Mother’s Day.”
There is no escaping the fact that, where Benghazi is concerned, there is blood in the water and the mainstream media has (at long last) picked up the scent. Yesterday, the sharks representing the three major TV networks circled Press Secretary Jay Carney, bombarding him with questions that were uncharacteristically tough.
