Despite the worldwide media’s eulogizing of the late South African President Nelson Mandela, a handful of media organs are bringing to light that the former Central Committee member of the South African Communist Party supported what is arguably the most liberal abortion legislation on the globe.
The Catholic-centered news portal Rorate Caeli via the news aggregate PewSitter.com report that Mandela signed into law the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act of 1996, which in its preamble states ironically that it recognizes:
Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, wrote this week,
“If you’re a politician who has ever voted against doctor-assisted suicide, or you would vote against it in the future, I hate your f*****g guts and I would like you to die a long, horrible death. I would be happy to kill you personally and watch you bleed out. I won’t do that, because I fear the consequences. But I’d enjoy it, because you motherf*****s are responsible for torturing my father. Now it’s personal.”

On Sunday, the president, in a moment of unscheduled and unintended hilarity, told reporters in Seattle that he is “not a particularly ideological person.” The line, delivered with a straight face, conjures up memories of late-night comedy pioneer Steve Allen, who told a studio audience that a snake that had been brought on stage was “perfectly safe.” Allen went on to quip, “You’re all in mortal danger, but he’s perfectly safe.”
Outside Victoria’s Secret, police deal with Rodriguez’s macabre secret.
A Brooklyn teen who grotesquely carted the corpse of her aborted baby around with her as she shoplifted may be facing far more serious charges than petty theft. Jennifer Peltz of the Associated Press reports that police now believe that the 6-month-old child discovered in a bag carried by 17-year-old Tiana Rodriguez was born alive and then asphyxiated. This contradicts the mother’s original claim that the infant was stillborn.

Regardless of where your sympathies lie on the issue of abortion, you’re likely to be horrified by the manner in which an Ohio man sought to terminate the life of an unwanted fetus: By killing the woman he “knocked up” after she refused to abort his child.
The website of station WHIO writes 23-year-old Tanner Hopkins of Dayton was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of felonious assault and weapons charges after allegedly attempting to shoot the expectant mother.
“Unable to start a war in Syria, President Obama is settling on reviving the War on Women,” writes the Washington Examiner.
The president, who has had more “resets” than a stopwatch and more “pivots” than a ballerina is just flailing now. With more than three years of his second term left to fill, and having spent the summer dodging scandals (correction: phony scandals), the president marshaled his energies today toward reviving the domestic policy debate with a new “women’s initiative.”

When they are not booing God at the Democratic National Convention or chanting “Hail Satan” at pro-life supporters, pro-abortion advocates pray. They don’t pray for the unborn children lost to abortion, however, or the many women who suffer from the effects of botched abortions.
Instead, these Democrats, including State Senator Jack Hatch and Rep. Tyler Olson, offer thanks to God for “abortion rights, abortion doctors and taxpayer funding for abortions.”
On Tuesday, the day before the liberal establishment in Washington coopted the ceremony commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic march, President Obama appeared on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. There he opined that Dr. King would have backed Obamacare:
