Military vet says he wasn’t allowed to fly American flag at Atlanta Braves tailgate

[Ed. – Regardless of whether it was the stadium or some America hater who said that flying the Stars and Stripes was forbidden, our vets deserve better.]

An Army veteran is extremely unhappy with the Braves after he said he was told to remove his American flag during a tailgate at SunTrust Park.

Adam Mourdock said a parking attendant told him to take down his flag on Monday night, CBS 46 in Atlanta reported.

“I fly a flag, an American flag directly above an Atlanta Braves flag at all the home games,” Mourdock said.

The parking attendent at SunTrust Park then told him that flying the flag was against their policy, according to Mourdock. When he asked to speak to a supervisor, she said she was the supervisor.

“There was no explanation, there was no policy in writing other than today that flag needs to come down,” Mourdock said.

According to CBS 46, the Braves do not have a policy against flying American flags.
