I’m sure there is a logical explanation for the behavior of the protesters in this video, but it’s more fun just to watch and invent your own narrative.

The setting was one of the climate marches that occurred in cities all over the nation yesterday. According to an ostensibly sympathetic source, the demonstrators who took part in this little morality play don’t look ridiculous as they wave giant cartoonish hands (labeled “People Power”) to waft away clouds of black industrial smoke belched out by chimneys (labeled variously “Fossil Fuel” and “Climate Chaos”).

As the protectors of the environment drive off the toxic fumes, they dramatically chant “Heave ho” and one, toward the beginning of the video, answers with “Gobble, gobble, gobble.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

I don’t know who the giant face in the background is supposed to represent, but the expression on it is priceless.
