Quote of the Day: I have lost hope and my mind is closed

See also “I have lost my mind,” etc. This candid admission comes from MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski, whose enlightened observations have graced these pages before.

Some personal faves include “[Donald Trump] could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think, and that, that is our job” and “This feels like a fake presidency.”

In fact, the “fake presidency” meme was reprised in her latest musing, which in its entirety reads:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

I had hope and an open mind, and I have lost hope and my mind is closed. This presidency is faked and failed.

If anyone can scare up a clip or verifiable quote of Brzezinski demonstrating an open mind on any political issue, Donald Trump or otherwise, kindly pass it along.

For that matter, I’d welcome a clip of her reporting actual news, not the phony blather she spouts almost non-stop.

In 2013, for example, she went ballistic on air following word that a judge had overturned then-New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s ban on large sugary drinks. In her rant, Brzezinski accused soft drink makers of producing poison for consumers and their children:

[The] American Beverage Association is relieved because they can continue to make money poisoning people…. At some point there will be a clamp down on the beverage industry, just like the cigarette industry. And they will wear a black hat.

Before she was through, she also asserted that the beverage industry will face legal challenges until “they stop putting sugar, salts, and terrible fats into our food and making them addictive.”
