Whoopi Goldberg shocked America on Thursday with her opinion on the University of California, Berkeley protest. Ultra-liberal Goldberg is infamous for siding with protestors of any right-wing or conservative viewpoint. However, she had strong words for those at Wednesday night’s event.
Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak on campus. Instead of just not going, student’s at the liberal institution rioted. Although American’s have the right to peacefully assemble, the key word is peacefully.
While discussing the event on Thursday’s show, Goldberg stated,
“You know, I can’t say this strongly enough. You can protest any speaker you want to. But the minute you get violent…you say you’re protesting because you want to protect people and stuff and then you go and burn people’s stuff? What the hell man?”
She continued, “Whoever it is, it all happened in Berkeley and you can protest and say ‘we don’t want this speaker’… don’t go hear him. Because the problem with you saying ‘stop, this person can’t come’, is the person you want to come then will be stopped by somebody else.”
