Esteban Santiago, the man charged with killing five people at the Fort Lauderdale airport, has told FBI agents that he attacked on behalf of ISIS. The confirmation came during a courtroom hearing on Tuesday through the testimony of a FBI special agent, according to CNN.
The FBI had a formal interview with alleged gunman in November of 2016, according to Fox News. He told agents at an Anchorage field office that he was being forced to watch ISIS videos. …
The agent who conducted the interview said that Santiago claimed to be fighting for ISIS and that he had been in touch with like-minded radical Islamists.
