President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled Friday morning to meet with the president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, Richard Trumka.
Trumka, a staunch supporter of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, has been a vocal critic of Trump.
Fox Business tweeted footage of Trumka’s arrival to Trump Tower.
Trumka and the leaders of other large American unions threw their support behind Clinton early, despite a groundswell of support for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primaries.
Trump’s message appealed to rust belt, working class voters who were turned off by Clinton’s past support for trade deals including the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and most recently, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
