It’s bad enough that she agreed to participate in the inane vote recount, but Hillary Clinton appears to be a glutton for punishment. Having lost the election to the one Republican who Democrats were sure she could beat, the former secretary of state is now further humiliating herself:
Hillary Clinton on Thursday decried the spread of fake news online, calling it an “epidemic” that Congress should take action against.
“The epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year — it’s now clear the so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” Clinton said during a speech on Capitol Hill.
Some Democrats have argued the spread of anti-Clinton fake news online contributed to her electoral loss to Donald Trump.

She may just as well just have painted a giant target on the seat of her pantsuit. Here’s the reaction her comments have generated on Twitter:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
This reminds me of that time somebody on the news said the Benghazi terrorist attack was caused by a YouTube video. https://t.co/pUCP1faPpy

You mean the dead broke Tuzla dasher who told families of Benghazi dead that it was over a YouTube video? https://t.co/kEUAIK1QU4

Hillary blasts the “epidemic” of #fakenews. As when Harry Reid, on the Senate floor, claimed that “Romney hasn’t paid any taxes”? Like that?

HRC blasts “epidemic” of #fakenews. As when Wikileaks hacked DNC’s email showing her campaign’s collusion with @nytimes & @washingtonpost?

Hillary Clinton blames “fake news” for her election defeat.
I agree.

She’s correct when she says “fake news can have real-world consequences.” As a candidate who received debate questions in advance and whose party colluded with a now disgraced cable network, she is the living embodiment of those consequences.
While we’re on the subject of fake news, I would be remiss to leave out this gem from a member of the mainstream media who knows a good deal about needless lying himself.
