In New Hampshire last night, CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield was disturbed that people were cheering the press being late to the event because they couldn’t get off their airplane.
“Do people not realize, or are they forgetting that other critical element of it, either you have a media or you have what I witnessed in Saddam’s era, in Libya’s era, where you never got to actually called yourself press or you’d go to jail for it,” she said. …
Banfield then went into an anecdote where she said her driver told her not to stare at Saddam Hussein’s palace when she was in Iraq, noting that they were on a freeway when this happened.
