Soledad O’Brien alarmed by the airtime networks like CNN are giving to ‘white supremacists’

Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien returned to CNN this morning to talk about the media coverage of the 2016 race, but she ended up expressing concerns over how much of that coverage involves talking to white supremacists.

O’Brien told Brian Stelter that not only does Hillary Clinton have a point about Donald Trump normalizing white supremacy, but the fact that cable networks (mostly CNN) are bringing white supremacists on the air to share their views is alarming.

And the question for Trump, O’Brien continued, is “Are you softening the ground for people who are white supremacists… to feel comfortable with their views being brought into the national discourse to the point where they can do a five-minute segment happily on national television?”
