Two VA churches vandalized with ‘BLM’, ‘Black Power’ other vulgarities

RiverOak Church of God became the second church to report vandalism to the building in two days.

Danville police responded to a vandalism call at the church at about 7:45 a.m. Sunday. Multiple areas of the building were spray-painted with various slogans, some of which the police are calling “obscene.” Several were simply the initials “BLM.”

By mid-afternoon, much of the spray-painting had been scrubbed down and had faded, but were still legible.

The incident, along with several similar vandalisms that occurred overnight Friday into Saturday along Franklin Turnpike — and included Christ the King Lutheran Church, several homes and other buildings — is under investigation….
