Now the GOP is trotting out the BIG guns to take potshots at [score]Ted Cruz[/score].
On a more serious note: the pathos of the Republican meltdown is difficult to keep watching for very long. Who would have guessed a mere ten years ago that by 2016, John Boehner would have been the Speaker, would have been hounded from the Speakership by the voters, and would be saying of Ted Cruz, the runner-up in the GOP primaries, that he was “Lucifer” — an allusion Boehner popularized during the primaries, when he also described Ted Cruz as a “miserable son of a bitch”?
Good times, good times.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
's remark last night after Cruz speech: "Lucifer is back."

Boehner will be taking to America’s highways and byways after the convention, campaigning for GOP House candidates. I, personally, can’t wait. You never know when you’ll need someone to point out for you who Lucifer is.
To those who take an interest in these matters, I commend a passage of scripture: Ephesians 6:12. We know Lucifer’s schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11), and can detect him at work. But he is not one and the same as any of our fellow men. Just a thought to go with your Tweet of the Day, in this silliest of electoral seasons.
