Oops: One World Trade Center uses wrong colors to show solidarity with Belgium

[Ed. – Well, shucks.  Maybe the lighting scheme was originally supposed to show solidarity with Cuba — the colors would at least have been right for that — and nobody got the memo.]

One World Trade Center appeared to be lit up in the wrong colors as monuments across the world glow in Belgium’s red, black and yellow on Tuesday night.

The skyscraper’s spire was illuminated in blue, white and red as night fell on the city.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday that One World Trade would be adorned in Belgian flag colors Tuesday night, in a show of support for Belgium. …

As pictures of the spire were posted on Twitter, it appeared the building had been lit in the wrong colors.
