Ted Cruz facing ridiculous charges of being anti-Semitic because of ‘NY values’ statement

Today my twitter feed and mail box was filled with tweets and emails asking if Ted Cruz’s statement about “New York” was meant as a slam at Jews. I can see where that would come from as often people say nasty things about New York and/or Miami as a veiled way of being being anti-Semitic.  But this is not True with Cruz.

Other emails made the charge outright — trying to brand Ted Cruz as a Jew-hater. This slander is more than a lie, its something which attacks Cruz’s faith. For the Texas senator (like most evangelicals), the support of Jews and Israel is not a matter of politics it’s a matter of faith.

Ted Cruz is up there with Marco Rubio as the candidates most supportive of Jews and Jewish issues. From the moment he arrived in the senate, Cruz battled the President‘s anti-Israel policies and unlike Democratic Party supporters of Israel, Cruz battled Obama loudly and very publicly.
