President Obama is scheduled to deliver his final State of the Union address this evening, and Democrats once again are the most likely to be paying attention. But even voters in Obama’s party admit that presidents don’t accomplish most of what they promise in the annual speeches.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 69% of Likely U.S. Voters are likely to watch or follow news reports about the president’s State of the Union address tonight, with 43% who are Very Likely to do so. Just 30% are unlikely to tune in or read about the speech, including 13% who say it’s Not At All Likely.
