Islamic State blew up a 4-year-old child after fighters murdered his father in front of him.
The child was strapped with remote explosives a week after he was forced to witness his father’s execution, according to a Dec. 28 report by Alsumaria News, an Iraqi television station. The child’s murder was apparently revenge for his father participating in an attack on an ISIS outpost which killed two fighters.
Speaking to Alsumaria News, Popular Mobilization Force official Jabar el-Maamouri said a bomb “was attached to a four-year-old child through a remote-controlled device so that his organs would be blown apart.”
The killing took place in the Al-Shirqat district of the Salah al-Din province in Iraq, an area which is considered an ISIS stronghold.
