Carson: #BlackLivesMatter is ‘bullying,’ need to admit Michael Brown a bad guy

After a speech in Ferguson, Missouri, GOP presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson told CBS News he sees the Black Lives Matter movement as “bullying” people, adding, “I never liked the idea of bullying on behalf of anybody.”

To Dr. Carson, Ferguson “conjured up an image of people feeling they that have been unjustly treated by police and that justifies civil disturbance,” adding, “It also conjures up an image of people being unwilling to actually face the facts. I think the community is unwilling to face the fact that Michael Brown was a bad actor.”

“I think some on the other side,” Carson continued, “unwilling to face the fact, no Darren Wilson, but other enforcement situations are probably not pristine. I think both have to be willing to sit down and make those admissions as step one before you’re really going to make any meaningful progress.”
