The former Heisman Trophy-winner appeared on Friday a lock to win a spot on Chip Kelly’s team. Tebow played marvelously in the team’s final preseason game against the New York Jets Thursday night. He passed for a pair of touchdowns against an interception that came as a result of a fourth-and-long situation that made any throw better than not throwing. He ran for 32 yards on four carries. The next day, the Eagles traded Matt Barkley, Tebow’s main competition for the third-string spot, to the Arizona Cardinals.
