Two Saudi brothers were killed on the same day, one fighting with the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen and the other for the Islamic State group in Iraq. Both left behind behind pregnant wives.
According to a report carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, Nasser al Harthi along with another Saudi pilot, Ali Bin Mohammed Al Qarni, died last week after his Apache helicopter crashed in Saudi Arabia’s border province of Jizan. The agency went on to mention that Nasser’s brother, Zaher al-Harti, had been killed on the same day in Iraq.
While the Saudi-led coalition said it was investigating the cause of the helicopter crash, the Huthi-run Saba news agency claimed to have shot down the aircraft.
Meanwhile in Iraq, the Islamic State group announced the death of Zaher al-Harthi, in Samarra, north of Baghdad, where he carried out a suicide car bombing targeting Iraqi troops.
