[Ed. – Meh. It undoubtedly has those lazy, tasteless modern interiors you see so many of.]
The New York real estate market has just received a new record breaking listing in the form of a huge six-storey townhouse in the affluent Upper East Side neighbourhood. The price tag? A cool $120 million.
The 30,000 square-foot residence is actually made up from three separate units, which the current owner combined into one large home, although agents are encouraging prospective buyers to consider the possibility of repurposing the building back into three self sufficient units.
A brief tour inside the vast home reveals no less than 23 fireplaces, a grand staircases, hand-carved wood panels and an elevator. Outside there are 11 different terraces and some of these are double tiered.
