Barack Obama is the least popular living president, a new survey shows.
Once the most-liked leader of the free world, Obama’s favorability ratings have tumbled as he plows through the second term of his presidency.
A CNN/ORC International poll released today has 49 percent of Americans giving the sitting president a thumbs up and 49 percent giving him a thumbs down.
And in retrospect, they now believe that George W. Bush wasn’t so bad after all. A slim majority, 52 percent, say they have a positive opinion of the 43rd President President of the United States.
It’s the first time since Bush left office that his approval rating has been in the black.
In February of 2009, after the end of his second term, a striking 33 percent of Americans said they still liked him while 63 percent seemed grateful he was gone.
The White House had no response when asked about Bush’s improving numbers this afternoon during a briefing with reporters.
