Video: Nature calls; councilman forgets to turn off mic; hilarity ensues

Georgetown, Texas has a new claim to fame: the peeing councilman.

Except to his friends, the councilman remains nameless, as far as we can tell.  Which is as far as we want to tell, incidentally.  You’ll almost miss his subtle departure at the beginning of the video, as Mayor Pro Tem Rachael Jonrowe addresses the council on the topic of infectious diseases.  She valiantly continues to address the council as the sound of the absent councilman, tending to nature, wafts through the room.

We, personally, like the near-emptiness of the council chamber during this episode.

Georgetown is also known as the little Texas town that’s going completely to wind and solar power.  We wouldn’t suggest there’s a connection, of course.  We do suspect that sales of home generators are surging in the area.  We know we don’t need to mention that it’s a fine example of your tax dollars at work for the unprofitable renewables industry.
