It’s the most epic Pi Day ever — the first, last, and only one that will ever represent this particular, well, syzygy, if we can be allowed the metaphor. At least, it is under our current Gregorian calendar. If we ever adopt a new calendar, for some reason, one that the world uses as an international standard, all bets are off. The odds are pretty slim, given that we’ve basically been on the Julian calender for over 2,000 years, and the Gregorian calendar — the most recent major tweak to it — was adopted nearly 450 years ago.
