The Minister Louis Farrakhan cast doubt on the official narrative surrounding the Sept. 11 terror attacks, claiming in a speech he delivered over the weekend that there were “many Israelis and Zionist Jews in key roles” in the horrific event that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people.
Farrakhan, the fiery leader of the Nation of Islam, frequently looked down at the podium, presumably reading from prepared notes, as he made a series of eyebrow-raising proclamations during a March 1 lecture at the Mosque Maryam in Chicago, Illinois.
“We know now that the crime that they say is at the root of terrorism was not committed by Arabs or Muslims at all,” he said. “Over 2,300 of America’s trained architects and engineers have joined in calling for a new investigation of 9/11.”
Farrakhan went on to conjure up a scenario in which bombs were placed inside the World Trade Center buildings, claiming that the fuel and impact from the airplanes that crashed into each tower wouldn’t have been enough on their own to bring the buildings down.
“But if it was not Muslims, then who?” Farrakhan said, going on to cite authors and theorists who believe that Israel played a role in the attacks. “It is now becoming apparent that there were many Israelis and Zionist Jews in key roles in the 9/11 attacks.”
