On Thursday students at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL participated in a “Die-in” to protest the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. One of the participants was Sociology professor Paul Croll who brought his 11 and 9-year-old children with him to take part. The kids held up a “Black lives matter” sign.
Crolll teaches “White privilege” and race relations at the school.
The Quad Cities Times reports:
When the clock struck 12:15 p.m., a few students announced the time as people found their spot on the ground. Some sprawled out with their eyes wide open, while others kept them closed.
Logan Croll, 11, and his sister Miranda, 9, held up homemade signs instead of lying on the floor.
