Black teens who hit bus driver in face with rock-filled sock in custody

[F]our teens are in police custody in connection with an assault on an RTA bus driver early Sunday morning.

They will all be booked on aggravated assault charges.

RTA leaders released video of the assault Monday afternoon.

The video shows four boys who boarded the bus. One of the boys used a sock that was loaded with rocks to strike the driver.

Witnesses at the bus stop told police that they saw the boys load rocks into socks before the assault.

An RTA spokeswoman credited outstanding detective work by RTA police for the quick arrests.

According to RTA, those arrested are two 17-year-olds and two 14-year-olds.
