Sick pair: 17-year-old posed as 6th grader to lure child porn victims

Two men in Hurst, Texas — Randy Ray Wesson, 28 and Ricardo Javid Lugo, 17 — were arrested this week and charged with possession of trove of child pornography.

According to Dallas-Ft. Worth’s NBC Channel 5, the younger of the two men was enrolled at Hurst Hills Elementary School, posing as a 12-year-old in order to “recruit potential victims.”

Arrest documents state that Wesson and Lugo arrived in the community posing as a father and son. Acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police executed a search warrant for their home and reportedly found thousands of images of underaged children being sexually exploited.

Officers reported that Wesson “confessed that police would find approximately 42,000 child pornography images on his computer, thumb drive, phone and SD cards.” He also confessed to molesting at least 100 children between the ages of 7 and 14.

Lugo and Wesson met on the social network Instagram and began a sexual relationship. Lugo’s mother told police her son went missing from her home in El Paso more than six months ago and she has been trying to find him.

Wesson used forged documents to enroll Lugo in the school as his son. School officials say they are completely taken aback, that nothing about Lugo or the man they believed to be his father seemed out of the ordinary.
