One of three men accused of stealing a wedding band off of a dying woman’s hand at a southeast Wichita Taco Bell last year has been sentenced.
Quanique D. Thomas-Hameen, 20, was sentenced to 19 months for the theft. At the time of the crime, however, he was on probation so Judge Magana revoked his probation and sentenced him to the original sentence of 39 months, giving him a total of 58 months.
Danielle Zimmerman was in the drive-through of a Taco Bell in December of 2013 when she suffered an aneurysm. Instead of calling for help, prosecutors said three men robbed her, including Quanique Thomas-Hameen.
