Michelle Obama repeatedly flubs name of Senate candidate while stumping for him

If “Bruce Bailey” ever runs as a Democratic candidate for the Senate in Iowa, he’ll have a stellar endorsement from First Lady Michelle Obama. Unfortunately, Bruce Bailey doesn’t exist, but Democratic candidate Bruce Braley does.

According to The Washington Post, Obama also told he audience at Drake University in Des Moines that Braley is a Marine Corps veteran, which is not the case.

Obama flubbed Braley’s name several times, according to Politico, before an audience member eventually corrected her.

“Braley? What did I say? I’m losing it. I’m getting old. I’ve been traveling too much,” Obama said in a video of her remarks.

Before she was corrected, Obama reportedly directed people to the wrong website, encouraging them to visit “vote.BruceBailey.com.”
