Tragedy has stuck the town of Ferguson, Mo., again. First, some racist cop there shot an upstanding young black man to death even as he raised his hands in surrender. Now, a memorial tribute to the slain youth has also expired, killed by a candle that was obviously racist.
From Fox2now via Weasel Zippers:
The makeshift was memorial [sic] located on Canfield Drive near the scene of the shooting. It was one of two in the area dedicated to the teen who was shot and killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on August 9.
Residents say the fire started around 6:30 a.m. The memorial was filled with stuffed animals and surrounded by candles. Flames from the candles likely sparked the small fire.
Hmm, sounds suspicious. Whoever heard of a candle setting fire to something highly flammable, like stuffed animals? It’s about as likely as fire melting steel.
