Woman wins Wing Bowl, eats 363 chicken wings

[Ed. – Gack.]

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 31 (UPI) — A mother of four was able to get the better of a number of notable eaters, including Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, at Wing Bowl 22 in Philadelphia.

Molly Schuyler tore through a Wing Bowl-record 363 wings at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday morning and obliterated the previous record of 337 wings that international eating champ Takeru Kobayashi set at Wing Bowl 20.

Pat Bertoletti finished second with 356 wings and the winner of Wing Bowl 21, Jamie “The Bear” McDonald, came in third with 304.

The only other woman to ever win the contest was Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas, who won Wing Bowl 12 with 167 wings in 2004. …

Schuyler is planning to compete in the IHOP Pancake Bowl on Saturday and then defend the title she holds at the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival on Sunday.
