After 18 years of working at a Kentucky Lowe’s Hardware store, Karen Sizemore was finally fed up with the shoplifting she’s witnessed over the years. So when Kyle Heim walked out of her store with a tool kit worth around $600, Sizemore finally had enough.
The seasoned store clerk took matters into her own hands and followed Heim out to his car.
“It was just the adrenaline rush,” Sizemore said to a local news station. “I’m not taking it any more. You just get to the point where you’re so tired of people stealing from you.”
Sizemore approached the man’s car and tried to reach into his back seat to retrieve the kit, but Heim immediately took off and the item was gone. Sizemore wasn’t defeated, though, because she took down Heim’s license plate number, called the police, and now the thief is sitting in jail.
