Facebook to test its own contender for PayPal market

All Things D is reporting that Facebook is planning to test a new service that lets shoppers make purchases on mobile apps using just their Facebook login. It works if you’ve given your credit-card information to Facebook already, such as through an in-game Farmville purchase, and you are buying through a mobile app that partnered with the social network.

The goal is to make it easier to buy stuff on a phone, since entering billing info on a phone can be clunky.The service could launch in the next month or so, Jason Del Ray and Mike Isaac report.
