They didn’t forget to cross the T’s, but they forgot the I’s entirely.
The diplomas for the graduating class of Radford University had a very conspicuous error this year — namely, the proofreader missed the “I'” in the “Commonwealth of Virginia.”
But that wasn’t the only typographical error in the diplomas, handed out at both December and May commencements.
As the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports, there was another glaring typo on all of Radford’s diplomas. The university spelled “thereto” as “therto,” meaning all recent graduates now have degrees that read: “all honors, rights and privileges therto appertaining.”
The university, which calls itself the “best in the southeast,” issued a statement Tuesday saying they would fix the errors “in a timely manner.”
