Jake Tapper to appear on daytime soap (other than WH press room)

Jake Tapper has been a White House correspondent, a CNN news anchor, an author, and a prolific tweeter. In several months he can add to that resumé: soap opera actor.

The host of CNN’s The Lead is slated to appearing a mid-August episode of The OnLine Network’s rebooted All My Children. He will play a “pushy” TV investigative reporter named Spencer Phillips.

Tapper revealed some of the footage on his own show, along with video of him rehearsing his lines and seeking advice from the show’s star Torsten Kaye, who plays Zach Slater.
