Democrat Fools on al Qaeda's Syrian Hill

Bill-Hillary-ObamaBill Clinton says jump and Commander-in-Chief Barack Obama’s administration asks how high?

Clinton told Sen. John McCain he agrees that Obama should act more forcefully to support anti-Assad rebels in Syria, saying the American public elects presidents and members of Congress “to see down the road” and “to win.”

At another point during a closed-press event Tuesday, Clinton implied that Obama or any president risks looking like “a total fool” if they listen too closely to opinion polls and act too cautiously. He used his own decisions on Kosovo and Bosnia as a point of reference.

White House press secretary Jay Carney responded Thursday that President Obama “welcomes” advice from former President Clinton:

Obviously, a lot of people who have expertise in the matter, both outside of Congress, in Congress, and inside government have perspective to add and opinions to contribute. The president welcomes all that.

Really, all that? OK, here goes. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and present Secretary of State John Kerry contributed their expert opinions to re-establish diplomatic relations with the Bashir Assad (Iranian-puppet) regime in Syria soon after President Obama was first inaugurated because they deemed the terrorist-harboring leader to be a “reformer”.

Seventy thousand-plus dead Syrians later, we are reminded that less than two years after September 11, 2001, Hillary’s husband offered this advice to then-President George W. Bush from atop the hills of Davos, Switzerland at its annual World Economic Forum concerning Assad’s Iranian puppet masters:

Iran today is, in a sense, the only country where progressive ideas enjoy a vast constituency. It is there that the ideas that I subscribe to are defended by a majority.

Then, in a 2007 television interview with Charlie Rose high atop the Bloomberg Building in Manhattan, William Jefferson Clinton heaped more gushing praise on the regime then-providing arms and safe haven to al Qaeda and other Islamist terrorist forces killing Americans in Iraq and that would, less than three years later mow down thousands of young Persian (pre-Arab) Spring lovers of Liberty while President Obama begged for a face-to-face meeting with his scraggly beard-shod Mahmoud “MembersOnlyJacket-ijad”  Ahmadinejad presidential counterpart in Tehran:

Iran is the only country in the world that has now had six elections since the first election of President Khatami [in 1997]. [It is] the only one with elections, including the United States, including Israel, including you name it, where the liberals, or the progressives, have won two-thirds to 70 percent of the vote in six elections: Two for president; two for the Parliament, the Majlis; two for the mayoralties. In every single election, the guys I identify with got two-thirds to 70 percent of the vote. There is no other country in the world I can say that about, certainly not my own.

Now, in 2013, the man who pardoned Puerto Rican terrorists, lest the future Protector of Benghazi lose votes in any future race for New York’s carpetbagger  U.S. Senate seat, joins John McCain on Capitol Hill in urging President Obama to aid “moderate” opposition to an Assad regime with whom we broke diplomatic relations in 2005 after it provided safe haven to former members of Saddam Hussein’s dethroned terrorist government.

But after all, hasn’t Syria crossed Obama’s “red line” by using chemical weapons? And, didn’t Saddam Hussein cross that line against the Kurds? One must conclude that Democrats Bill, Hillary and Barack are color-blind when it comes to line-crossings.

Yet, the impeached Clinton now urges post-red line-crossing aid, lest “the Russians, the Iranians and the [sic] Hezbollah” gain strategic advantages in the Middle East. We also share those concerns; so, where were Clintonian warnings to his fellow Democrat against foolishness in the region when Obama surrendered the gains won by the surge in Iraq, handed Egypt to the sharia-loving Muslim Brotherhood and led from behind in transferring power in Libya from a contrite post-9/11 Muammar Qadaffy to Islamist war lords granting safe haven to the murderers of Americans in Benghazi?

Why do we listen to these Democrat fools on the hill instead of ignoring them as did The Beatles’ their “Fool on the Hill?”

Day after day,
Alone on a hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he’s just a fool…

Because maybe a majority of Americans are fools at the bottom of the hill?
