Even Saudis have shortages

Like any other nation experiencing economic ups and downs during this global recession, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia isn’t immune, as evidenced by the revelation of the dire need to hire more headsmen, as reported by the Catholic news portal Asia News on June 6, 2013.

The Saudi Justice Ministry has issued a labor report stating that the Kingdom is critically short of swordsmen to finalize the judgments of the nation’s Sharia’a Law fueled criminal justice system.

As the only nation that still officially beheads the guilty in public, the Saudi Justice Ministry has authorized Sharia’a courts to catch up on the backlog of prisoners to be executed by shooting them.
