Biden: Obama could use executive order to control gun crime

President Barack Obama is “determined” to curb gun violence, US Vice-President Joe Biden has said, opening high-profile talks on the issue.

Mr Biden, leading the White House effort on gun control policy, said the president could use executive orders.

Mr Biden spoke before New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was expected to ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

The moves come after a deadly shooting in Connecticut saw 27 people killed.

Adam Lanza killed 20 schoolchildren and six adults at a primary school in Newtown after first shooting his mother dead.

  1. Where the hell do this fools get the idea that an Obama Executive Order supersedes the Constitution. We do not have a dictatorial type of government and usurpation of presidential powers is an impeachable offense. It’s time the House of Representatives starts doing the job they were elected to do and impeach this charlatan and run his administration out of this country.
