Germany accused of 'deporting' its elderly

German pensioners are being sent to care homes in Eastern Europe and Asia in what has been described as an ‘inhumane deportation’.

Rising numbers of the elderly and sick are moved overseas for long-term care because of sky-high costs at home.

Some private healthcare providers are even building homes overseas, while state insurers are also investigating whether they can care for their clients abroad.

Experts describe a time bomb’ of increasing numbers unable to afford the growing costs of retirement homes.

And they say the situation should be a warning to Britain, where rising numbers of pensioners are forced to sell their homes to pay for care.

  1. Germany has a long history of deporting unwanted prisoners to Eastern Europe. Oh, wait…pensioners. Never mind.

    On second thought, this is an advancement for the Germans. The freight costs will soon irritate them, though. End of the year stock tip: Go long on German pharmacueticals and oven makers.

    • Hmm, hadn’t thought of that angle, I must confess. Look, it may be hot inside those ovens, but the alternative to which old people in this country will soon be subjected — being set adrift on ice floes — doesn’t hold that much appeal other. Fire or ice: Pick your poison. (Oh … or poison. That works, too.)

  2. We are marching towards the same socialist policies as western europe and we have the same demographic problem (not enough new “giving” suckers in the ponzi scheme to replace the “taking” ones). Has Nancy P gotten that far into the ObamaCare bill yet to figure out where our seniors get sent?
