Since the tragic shootings in Newtown, Conn., liberals have called for the death of those who support gun rights. The latest to wish harm on those Second Amendment-loving people is CSI star Marg Helgenberger.
Responding to a tweet by author Joyce Carol Oates, Helgenberger said “one can only hope” that members of the NRA get shot, Twitchy reported Tuesday.
“If sizable numbers of NRA members become gun-victims themselves, maybe hope for legislation of firearms,” Oates tweeted Friday.
“@JoyceCarolOates One can only hope, but sadly I don’t think anything would change,” the CSI star tweeted in response.
“@MargHelgen @JoyceCarolOates are you encouraging violence against those who dare disagree with you?” asked “Jeremy Avery.”
“Congrats for becoming yet another clueless, VIOLENT, liberal ‘elite’ who shoved her foot in her mouth. Shame on you, lady,” added “Conservative Girl.”
“Bet you didn’t know the NRA was started to arm Free Blacks so they could protect themselves from the Democrat-founded KKK,” another person said.
Helgenberger is not the only person expressing a desire to see gun supporters harmed.
John Cobarruvias, a member of the Texas Democratic Party Executive Committee, issued a tweet calling for supporters and members of the NRA to be shot. Although he deleted his tweet and offered a weak apology, his Facebook page still contains a message saying that NRA members “need to [be] wiped off the face of the earth.”
In February 2011, we said that liberalism is an ideology of hate and rage. Since then, it has gotten even worse.

Bless her heart. This always reminds me of what Charlton Heston had to say after the Rodney King riots. Hollywood friends of his contacted him to ask if they could borrow his firearms, given the dangerous unrest in LA. He asked them if they had had training, if they were certified on any small arms, and if so, who certified them. None of them, of course, was trained or certified. They knew absolutely nothing about handguns. So Heston declined to lend firearms to them. They thought he was a big poopoo-head.
If Helgenberger were in personal danger, she would be thrilled to have an armed NRA member show up. She just doesn’t know it yet.
